1. How does it work ?

1.1. It graphically shows the proportions of carbohydrate, protein and fat.
The triangular representation is well suited to three components' blends. The organic content of food is just such a blend.

graphic

Each apex of the triangle stands for one of the simple foods respectively : carbohydrate, protein and fat.
The further from an apex, the lesser the proportion of the corresponding simple food. From 100 % at the apex to 0 % when on the opposite side of the triangle.

Be aware that proportions only appear on the triangle. On each point the C + P + F sum amounts to 100.
The meal is balanced when the point standing for the current meal reaches the target.
The vitamins fibre, minerals, are not taken into account by the software. So the balanced meal is such only in terms of its C P F content.

1.2. The icons.

When you change the amount of one food, the current meal cursor shifts from the previous meal position toward the selected food icon.

1.3. Energy value of the food intake.

The energy value (with the previously chosen unit kcal or kJ) shows on the progression bar (next the left side of the triangle window).
The maximum value for the progression bar is 5000 kcal (roughly twice the standard food intake) but the total amount can increase beyond without problem.
